Destination X Final: Contestant Warned Not to Spoil Winner on BBC Breakfast

BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty issued a spoiler warning to viewers ahead of an appearance by Destination X contestant Daren Parr, who was eliminated just before the final. Parr appeared on the show on Thursday (August 28) after being voted off the coach in the semi-final.

Munchetty, 50, warned viewers: 'Beware, we are about to be joined by the contestant who was booted off the bus on last night's episode. So if you haven't seen last night's episode and you don't want to know, maybe step away and grab a cup of tea.'

During the interview, Munchetty asked Parr if he knew the winner. When he confirmed he did, she quickly interjected: 'Don't say anything.' Parr assured her he would not reveal the result, adding: 'I didn't go home after Monte Carlo, we stayed on. So yeah, I'm not saying anymore than that.'

The taxi driver, 58, described his experience on the show as 'mad' but said he has loved the attention from fans. 'People coming up to me and wanting selfies. I'm a London cabbie, what am I doing here?' he said.

The final of Destination X airs Thursday at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer. The show, hosted by Rob Brydon, sees contestants guess their location across Europe for a chance to win £100,000.
