Jimmy Carr's behaviour on This Morning has sparked outrage after he repeatedly interrupted chef Clodagh McKenna during her cooking segment. The comedian, who was scheduled for an interview with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, heckled McKenna as she demonstrated three ways to cook a single chicken.
As McKenna advised viewers to place a chicken carcass in a saucepan, Carr interjected: 'What? Have you not got a bin?' He continued to interrupt, saying: 'Pop it in the bin! It's gone, the chicken is gone,' and later added: 'Wait until she finds out about stock cubes!' After sampling her dish, Carr criticised it for lacking chicken.
Despite McKenna maintaining her composure with a smile, Dermot O'Leary was quick to offer a comforting arm around her shoulder. The host acknowledged that it seemed 'hard' for her to do her job while being 'heckled' by a comedian.
Viewers at home were less forgiving, taking to social media to criticise Carr's behaviour. One wrote: 'Urgh. Jimmy Carr next. Switching off as he is obnoxious and proved it by having no respect to Clodagh's segment.' Another said: 'Jimmy Carr what an absolute a*** to Clodagh.' A third commented: 'I doubt Jimmy would appreciate it if Clodagh joined his segment and started loudly interrupting and undermining everything he said.'
