Death in Paradise is returning to screens tonight with a former detective, and fans will be thrilled. Ralf Little will be back as DI Neville Parker in a repeat episode that originally aired in 2022.
Ralf Little Returns as DI Neville Parker
Ralf Little will reprise his role as Detective Neville Parker in an episode from series 11, titled Last Call to Honore. The instalment, which airs at 9pm on BBC One, sees Neville and the team investigating a mysterious death.
Little left his role in Death in Paradise in March 2024, with his character sailing off into the sunset with love interest Florence Cassell (Josephine Jobert). He was replaced by Don Gilet, who now plays detective Mervin Wilson.
Little's Emotional Farewell
Reflecting on his departure, Little said: “The secret's out! My time on Saint Marie has come to an end. But what an end! New adventures await Neville and he got to sail off into the sunset with his best friend.”
He added: “I just want to say an enormous thank you to everyone who watched and supported the show. When I arrived, four-and-a-half years ago, I knew I had big shoes to fill. It has been an absolute privilege and pleasure to bring Neville Parker to all of you.”
Little was the show's longest-serving detective until his exit, having taken over from Ardal O'Hanlon, who played Detective Jack Mooney.
