The BBC has confirmed a schedule shake-up for the Death in Paradise season 15 finale, pushing its air date back by a week. Originally expected to air on Friday 20 March, the final episode will now be broadcast on Friday 27 March. It remains unclear whether the episode will be available early on BBC iPlayer.
The delay follows the penultimate episode's cliffhanger, which introduced Mervin's niece Eloise, played by Avah Cotterell. Her unexpected arrival has inserted itself into the emotionally withdrawn DI's life, potentially shifting the series' direction in new ways.
The new date was announced via the show's official Instagram page. It coincides with the return of spin-off Beyond Paradise for its third season, which will air on the same evening. The schedule sees Beyond Paradise debut at 8pm, followed by the Death in Paradise finale at 9pm on BBC One.
Replacing Death in Paradise this week is Comic Relief: Funny For Money, a fundraising variety show featuring presenters Davina McCall, Joel Dommett, Nick Mohammed, Catherine Tate as Nan, and Katherine Ryan. The three-hour event promises sketches, live performances, and music acts.
Beyond Paradise's new season teases quirky mysteries, including the death of a novelist who predicted their demise, a Dark Morris night gone wrong, a stolen treasure map, and a vengeful mermaid sighting. Meanwhile, DI Humphrey Goodman faces an impossible decision that may change life at the station forever.
