The BBC has announced details for the 2025 Christmas specials of Death in Paradise and Beyond Paradise, both set to air on BBC One and iPlayer this festive season. The specials promise festive mysteries, heartwarming reunions, and plenty of humour.
Beyond Paradise airs on Sunday 21 December at 9pm. In the episode, Esther discovers a man with no memory on the steps of Shipton Abbott police station, holding a photo of Humphrey. The team must identify the mysterious man while handling a flurry of festive cases. Meanwhile, Martha, with help from Anne, Zoe and a special guest, works on a secret plan. Kelby tries to aid a man trapped inside a snowman costume. Guest stars include Adrian Edmondson, James Lance, and Jonny Weldon.
Death in Paradise airs on Sunday 28 December at 8.30pm. The story begins when four co-workers wake from a hangover to find a stranger shot dead in a villa pool. DI Mervin Wilson and his team discover the murder weapon was locked in a drawer thousands of miles away in Swindon. The victim has a reindeer's name tattooed on his palm. An old colleague may help solve the case. Meanwhile, Mervin awaits a response from his newly discovered brother. Guest stars include Josie Lawrence, Kate Ashfield, and Pearl Mackie.
