Luke Hemsworth has been cast as a leading character in the second season of the Australian crime comedy-drama series 'Deadloch' on Prime Video. The new season is currently filming in Queensland, Australia.
Hemsworth, known for roles in 'Westworld' and 'Thor: Love & Thunder', will play Jason Wade, a crocodile wrangler and star of the show 'Jason Wade's Adventures Down Under'. He also owns a wildlife park called 'Jason Wade's Land of Crocs and Other Animals'.
The series, created by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, follows two female detectives in Darwin investigating the death of Bushy, a former policing partner. In season two, a body discovered in a remote town leads to a new investigation.
Hemsworth joins returning cast members Kate Box, Madeleine Sami, Nina Oyama, and Alicia Gardiner. New cast additions include Steve Bisley, Shari Sebbens, Jean Tong, and others.
McCartney and McLennan serve as executive producers alongside Kevin Whyte and Tanya Phegan. The series is directed by Beck Cole and Gracie Otto. Production, which began in the Northern Territory, has now moved to Queensland.
