David Tennant and Michael Sheen Reunite at Charity Gala After JK Rowling Row

David Tennant reunited with his friend Michael Sheen at the Pub In The Park: All Star Charity Gala on Friday, days after being criticised by JK Rowling over his pro-trans rights speech. The 53-year-old actor wore a grey suit with black sunglasses and Adidas trainers, while Sheen, 55, opted for a grey T-shirt and khaki shirt.

The event, held in London, also featured stars such as Myleene Klass, Clare Balding, Ben Shephard, and Andrea McClean. Tennant and Sheen, who co-star in the series Good Omens, appeared relaxed together at the charity gathering.

Tennant sparked controversy at the British LGBT Awards on June 21, where he described anti-trans views as coming from 'a tiny bunch of little whingeing f**kers' and said they would 'all go away soon.' He also told Equalities Minister Kemi Badenoch to 'shut up,' prompting a response from Badenoch, who said she would not be silenced by a 'rich, lefty, white male celebrity.'

JK Rowling, 58, then criticised Tennant on X, calling people like him 'the gender Taliban.' She accused him of hypocrisy, saying he claims to be compassionate but wants critics to 'cease to exist.' Rowling has previously fallen out with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe over similar issues.
