Netflix subscribers can now stream 'Dark Winds', a crime drama set in the 1970s Navajo Nation, which has earned a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The series, created by George R.R. Martin, follows Tribal Police lieutenant Joe Leaphorn and his deputy Jim Chee as they investigate a series of seemingly unconnected crimes.
Based on Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn & Chee book series, the first season adapts 'Listening Woman' and the second 'People of Darkness'. Currently, only the first season is available on Netflix, with the second expected later this year. All three seasons can be watched on NOW.
Viewers have praised the show, with one calling it 'more addictive than True Detective and darker than Broadchurch', while another said it is 'by far the best series this century'. The cast includes Zach McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, Jessica Matten, Jenna Elfman, and Bruce Greenwood.
A fourth season is set to premiere in the US on AMC next month, but a UK release date has not been confirmed.
