Daisy May Cooper is stepping down as team captain on the rebooted Never Mind The Buzzcocks, with Sophie Willan taking her place for the upcoming fourth series. The 37-year-old This Country star had been a regular alongside Noel Fielding since Sky revived the iconic music quiz in 2021.
Cooper, who recently gave birth to her third child Benji, will return for the Christmas special but is focusing on motherhood for now. She announced the arrival of her son in June, describing him as 'doing brilliantly' after a premature birth.
The new series will see Greg Davies return as host, with Noel Fielding and Jamali Maddix also back as regulars. Themed specials will cover the 90s, 00s, Rock, and Girl and Boy Bands, with guests including Mel B, Beth Ditto, Courtney Love and Perrie Edwards.
Cooper's BBC show Rain Dogs was axed after one series. The new series of Never Mind The Buzzcocks airs on Sky Max later this year.
