Coronation Street fans have been quick to notice a Shameless reunion as the new family taking over the Rovers Return was revealed. Eva Price returns to Weatherfield as the new landlady, bringing her partner Ben Driscoll and his family, including his interfering mother Maggie and his two sons.
Actors Aaron McCusker and Pauline McLynn join Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva. McCusker is known for playing Jamie Maguire in Shameless, while McLynn played Libby Croker in the same series. Fans took to social media to comment on the crossover, with one writing: 'Shameless crew building on the cobbles!'
The first picture of the Driscoll-Price clan was shared by Tyldesley on Instagram, captioned: 'One week to go… I can’t wait for you all to meet the ‘Driscoll Massive’.' Co-stars including Lucy Fallon and Sally Carman-Duttin expressed excitement in the comments.
The new family will take over the pub following Jenny Connor's departure, after Carla Connor reclaimed the establishment. Ben Driscoll's son Ollie has already been introduced as Dee-Dee Bailey's new love interest.
