Olivia Frances Brown, who plays Jodie Ramsay on Coronation Street, has made waves on the soap with her character's manipulative antics. But away from the screen, the Liverpool-born actress leads a quieter life, with a background in performing arts and a recent split from her famous actor fiancé.
Brown grew up in Aigburth, Liverpool, and attended school in the Cheshire village of Whitley, where she enjoyed an outdoorsy childhood. She later studied at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) before returning to the city. She has described Liverpool as a place that “gives you confidence but keeps your feet firmly on the ground.”
Before joining Coronation Street in January 2025, Brown appeared in Channel 4's The Gathering, as well as roles in Archie and Boiling Point.
