At least 19 characters from Emmerdale and Coronation Street will be involved in a devastating car pile-up in the upcoming Corriedale crossover, a new trailer has confirmed. The trailer, released during ITV's The Big Quiz on Monday night, teased multiple deaths and showed characters in peril at the crash site and hospital.
Confirmed characters include Cain Dingle, Charity Dingle, Shona Platt, Kevin Webster, Aaron Dingle, Lisa Swain, David Platt, Tracy Barlow, Liam Cavanagh, Kit Green, James Bailey, Asha Alahan, Carla Connor, Abi Webster, Debbie Webster, Sarah Sugden, Jacob Gallagher, Robert Sugden, and Joe Tate. Chas Dingle actress Lucy Pargeter hinted her character may also be involved, suggesting she filmed scenes at a neutral location rather than either soap's set.
David actor Jack P Shepherd teased that more than one character will die, stating: "People will die." The trailer showed panic and danger, with Kit Green trying to control the situation, Carla Connor frantic, and Shona and David injured at the roadside. Pregnant characters Shona and Charity were seen at the hospital, with Charity comforting a distressed Shona.
Abi and Kevin Webster were shown frantically searching for missing Debbie, while Robert Sugden, with Joe Tate's help, desperately called for Aaron. The crossover, titled Corriedale, airs on January 5th, with lives set to change forever. Further details remain under wraps.
