I'm A Celebrity Stars Land in Australia Ahead of New Series

Celebrities have begun arriving in Australia for the upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, which starts on Sunday. Among the first to touch down were Vamps guitarist James McVey, soap actress Sair Khan, DIY SOS host Nick Knowles, and Hollyoaks star Malique Thompson-Dwyer.

James McVey, 24, admitted he was nervous about entering the jungle, particularly due to his fear of spiders. He also noted that this will be the longest he and his girlfriend Kirstie Brittain have gone without speaking, though she plans to visit him during the show.

Sair Khan, 30, who plays Alya Nazir on Coronation Street, said she wanted to return to Australia because she loves the country. She received advice from her co-star Jennie McAlpine, a former I'm A Celeb contestant, to enjoy the experience.

Nick Knowles arrived in practical hiking gear and joked about being unaware of the show's timing, while Malique Thompson-Dwyer, 20, claimed he was simply on holiday. X Factor runner-up Fleur East and former football manager Harry Redknapp had already arrived as the first two confirmed contestants.

With nine celebrities now confirmed, attention turns to the tenth mystery contestant, rumoured to be a 'big name' reality star. Meanwhile, Declan Donnelly prepares to host the series without Ant McPartlin for the first time in 18 years, with Holly Willoughby stepping in as co-host.
