Coronation Street is set for explosive scenes next week as school bully Mason Radcliffe returns to the cobbles after his prison release, only to be found bloody and battered near the precinct.
Earlier this year, Mason and Dylan Wilson bullied Maria Connor's son Liam, who contemplated suicide. The situation escalated when Mason threatened Liam with a knife, leading to Gary and Maria reporting him to the police.
Dylan was later arrested for carrying a zombie knife that Mason had ordered him to hide. Dylan pleaded guilty and received a community service order, while Mason was sentenced to prison.
In upcoming episodes, Dylan is anxious about Mason's release. Stu Carpenter discovers Mason injured, and later Dylan faces an angry Mason. Actor Luca Toolan hopes the soap will explore Mason's backstory, noting he is 'a very angry and disturbed soul'.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X.
