Coronation Street fans have spotted a potential clue that suggests Sarah Platt may not have been the one who killed Theo Silverton, despite her confession in Thursday's episode (June 25).
Fans Question Sarah's Confession
Actress Tina O'Brien revealed that her character Sarah was the killer, but many viewers are convinced there is another twist. The flashback showed Sarah hitting Theo, causing him to fall from scaffolding, but fans noticed Theo's foot moved after he landed, implying he was still alive.
Viewers theorize that Gary Windass, who helped cover up the incident, texted Theo's ex-wife Danielle Silverton, who then finished him off. One fan on X wrote: "I guessed Sarah, but Theo's foot moved, so I think his ex-wife finished the job!" Another added: "There may be more to Theo's death – did Danielle arrive and kill him?"
The Murder Investigation
Theo's body was discovered by Betsy Swain on the night of her mother Lisa's wedding to Carla Connor in April. A flashforward episode in February had teased the death, eventually revealing Theo as the victim. Six suspects were initially named: Todd Grimshaw, George Shuttleworth, Summer Spellman, Christina Boyd, Gary Windass, and Danielle Silverton.
However, the flashback showed Sarah delivering the blow that sent a drunk Theo tumbling off scaffolding. Despite this, fans remain skeptical, noting that Gary's text to Danielle and Theo's moving foot suggest she may have delivered the final blow.
