Coronation Street could be welcoming back a soap favourite as fans believe they have figured out who keeps ringing Christina Boyd. Christina, played by Amy Robbins, arrived on the ITV soap in 2023 as the mother of Daisy Midgeley, portrayed by Charlotte Jordan. Since her debut, Christina has become a regular fixture and has been involved in numerous major storylines, from a cunning catfishing plot to a romance with funeral director George Shuttleworth.
Currently, Christina is among six characters under suspicion for the murder of villainous Theo Silverton. The abuser met his end earlier this year after his campaign of terror against Todd Grimshaw was exposed. Recently, Christina has been behaving mysteriously, preoccupied by incoming calls and texts, reports the Liverpool Echo. She has kept her partner George in the dark while appearing frantic and anxious, glancing at her mobile before moving away to answer calls.
Now, viewers believe they have cracked who is trying to contact Christina. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, audiences suspect it might be her daughter Daisy. One fan wrote, "I wonder who Christina was talking to on her phone?" Another added, "Her daughter is my guess." A third chimed in, "Daisy," while another penned, "I'd love it to be Daisy."
Fans will remember Daisy made her Corrie debut in 2020 and featured in major storylines, including a distressing acid attack plot and shocking affairs. However, in January 2025, actress Charlotte Jordan revealed she had departed the soap, and several months later in May, Daisy bid farewell to the cobbles in dramatic style. Posting a video after her final episode, Charlotte shared a heartfelt message: "Hello - I wanted to pop on and say thank you for all of the love you've shown Daisy over the last four and a half years."
Coronation Street airs Monday to Friday at 8:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
