Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) finally cracks under the guilt of helping Idris Nazir (Junade Khan) sabotage Underworld, and next week's Coronation Street sees him demand that Idris put things right. The confrontation comes after Brody overhears Carla Connor-Swain's (Alison King) distress at having to sell the factory because the insurance won't pay out for the damage. With his foster carer, Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor), now out of a job, Brody tells Idris he will confess to everything unless he fixes the situation.
Brody's Ultimatum
Idris warns Brody that such a move would land him in prison, but Brody is willing to take that chance and bring Idris down with him. The tense exchange sets up a fiery showdown between the pair, as Brody appears ready to accept the consequences of his actions.
Kit's Awkward Encounter
Meanwhile, at Weatherfield General, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) faces his own shock. After being accompanied to her baby scan by Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) is spotted by her mum, Sarah (Tina O'Brien). Kit had earlier chastised Sarah for forcing him to get a check-up after his collapse, insisting it was nothing serious.
As they leave with anti-nausea medication, they cross paths with Bethany, who is visibly alarmed at being spotted. Sarah apologises for forgetting about the scan, and Kit and Bethany exchange awkward glances before Bethany tries to bolt. But Sarah catches up, asks about the scan, and then drops the bombshell that Kit will be dating a grandma, embracing her daughter as the reality dawns on Kit.
Next week's episodes are shorter than usual, with three instalments airing from Tuesday, November 10, but they are packed with drama as both storylines reach a head.
