Coronation Street Star Lucy-Jo Hudson Engaged

Coronation Street and Hollyoaks actress Lucy-Jo Hudson has announced her engagement to long-term partner Lewis Devine, revealing she is “on cloud nine” after the surprise proposal. The star, who played Katy Harris on the ITV soap, shared the happy news on Instagram, showcasing a stunning diamond ring.

A Surprise Proposal in the Lake District

The couple, who have been together for eight years, became engaged during a romantic trip to the Lake District, a location rich in early memories for them. Hudson explained that Devine had been planning the proposal for months without her knowledge. “He took me back to the Lakes, where some of our first memories began. We spent the day reminiscing, just us, walking through the most beautiful quiet gardens with no one else around,” she wrote.

Describing the moment, she added: “We talked about our kids, our future, how far we’ve come and then Lew just held me tight, telling me about how much he loves our kids, and how he can’t imagine doing life without me... and then suddenly, he was on one knee. I was already crying and saying YES before he’d even finished asking me. No big audience, no big show, just us, and a quiet, perfect moment that meant everything.”

The actress expressed gratitude for their blended family, saying: “After all our ups and downs, we’ve come out stronger, and now we get forever.”

A Love Story That Began Onstage

Hudson and Devine first met in 2017 while performing together in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. Their instant chemistry led to a lasting relationship, and they soon became inseparable.
