Alfie Rushed to Hospital After Mould Exposure
On Sunday July 5, a frustrated Abi calls her landlord about worsening damp, lamenting to Leanne Battersby that he never calls back. Later at Speed Daal, she calls the landlord again and hears Idris's phone ring, realizing he is the landlord. That night, Abi tucks poorly Alfie into bed, unaware of black mould growing behind it. On Tuesday July 7, Abi and Kevin rush Alfie to A&E. An anxious Idris is shocked at the flat's state and races to the hospital, where Alfie is kept in ICU overnight. The doctor confirms Abi must find a new home as mould caused Alfie's breathing issues. Leanne points out the previous owner must have known about the mould. Abi later sees Brody forcing a man into Idris's car and reports to Sally, who is concerned when Brody hands her money.
