The final two episodes of Clarkson's Farm season 5 have just dropped on Prime Video, and fans are already wondering about the show's future. The latest series was divided into three sections, with Episodes 7 and 8 released on June 17, revealing further demanding obstacles for Jeremy Clarkson and the Diddly Squat crew. Clarkson warned it would be a "difficult watch."
Somber Turn in Episode 7
In Episode 7, matters took a sombre turn as, with harvest approaching, Jeremy Clarkson unveiled he had prostate cancer. Meanwhile, he occupied himself with an initiative dear to his heart, safeguarding local bird species, which led to a disagreement with Kaleb Cooper.
Renewal Status
At present, Clarkson's Farm has not been officially commissioned by Prime Video, with the streaming platform yet to issue a formal statement regarding the show's continuation. Nevertheless, back in February 2026, Clarkson himself disclosed that some recording for a fresh series had already occurred, though it required pausing. In his column for The Sunday Times, Clarkson explained that production had stopped owing to the Oxfordshire climate.
He penned: "On the face of it, I'm a busy man. I have a television show to make about the farm I run," subsequently noting: "There's no filming happening on the farm at the moment. Or farming." He added: "It hasn't stopped raining since the beginning of the year, so I can't plant anything, and I can't do anything with my cows either because we are still locked down by TB."
TB Outbreak and Clarkson's Vision
Episode 7 laid bare the devastating TB outbreak at the farm, which first emerged in July 2025. In a post on X, the former Top Gear presenter described everyone as being "absolutely devastated." He subsequently revealed that the infected cow was "pregnant with twins."
Clarkson has previously opened up about his long-term vision for the show, admitting he had "ideas" for a sixth series, but would call it a day once his inspiration dried up. With this in mind, it appears encouraging that Clarkson himself is enthusiastic about a sixth series moving forward, though the final decision ultimately rests with Prime Video.
Reach contacted Prime Video for comment on whether a fresh series has been given the go-ahead. One thing remains abundantly clear — the enduring appeal of Clarkson's Farm shows absolutely no sign of waning.
