However, in February 2026, Clarkson revealed that filming for a new season had already begun but was put on hold due to Oxfordshire's weather. Writing in his column for The Sunday Times, Clarkson explained: "On the face of it, I'm a busy man. I have a television show to make about the farm I run," adding, "There's no filming happening on the farm at the moment. Or farming. It hasn't stopped raining since the beginning of the year, so I can't plant anything, and I can't do anything with my cows either because we are still locked down by TB."
TB Outbreak and Health Scare
Episode 7 detailed the shocking TB diagnosis at the farm, which first came to light in July 2025. In a social media post on X, the former Top Gear host said everyone was "absolutely devastated." He later wrote that the infected cow was "pregnant with twins." Clarkson has previously spoken about his long-term plans for the show, stating he had "ideas" for a sixth season but would stop when he ran out of inspiration. This suggests Clarkson himself is keen for a sixth season, but the final decision rests with Prime Video.
