Fans of the Channel 4 series Escape to the Chateau have been left astonished by how much Dick and Angel Strawbridge's children, Arthur and Dorothy, have grown up. The family celebrated Angel's 44th birthday on Thursday and Dorothy's eighth birthday the following day with a trip to the beach, sharing photos on Instagram.
The images showed Dorothy beaming alongside her brother Arthur, both holding spades, and Dick helping the children dig a hole in the sand. Fans flooded the comments with remarks about the children's rapid growth, with one writing: 'Dotty is getting as tall as Arthur! Two wonderful children.' Another said: 'They are growing up so fast! Slow down Father Time!'
Earlier this year, Dick addressed claims that growing up in a chateau had made his children 'spoilt'. Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, he insisted that Arthur and Dorothy understand the value of hard work, noting that they 'know that you work to actually achieve the life you do'. Angel added that the children share a 'relatively small' room and that the family uses only one bathroom, despite the chateau's 45 rooms.
