Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins has taken to social media to address speculation about her future on the show, posting about her upcoming 50th birthday. The 49-year-old shared an Instagram post asking fans for celebration ideas, which sparked disbelief over her age.
In the post, Hawkins wrote: 'So.. I've a milestone birthday coming up in May, which I've been in a bit of denial about. I've talked about it in @woman.maguk out this week as I know I need to embrace it, but I still haven't worked out how to celebrate!! Any ideas let me know.' Fans responded with suggestions including afternoon tea and spa days, while many expressed shock that she is nearly 50.
One fan commented: 'OMG how are you nearly 50, Charlotte!? Looking amazing!' Another said: 'No way are you coming 50.' A third added: 'Wow!!! I thought you were in your 30's! You look great.'
Co-star Susanna Reid also weighed in, writing: 'Beautiful - ageing is a blessing.' Hawkins, who is an ambassador for the Dogs Trust, also revealed in an interview with Woman magazine that she and her family are planning to adopt a new rescue dog after the death of their 16-year-old dog Bailey last year.
