Jonathan Ross has been issued a warning by BBC bosses after spilling secrets from the set of Celebrity Traitors. The chat show host, who is playing a Traitor on the hit murder mystery show, revealed an unaired moment where he accidentally let slip his true identity to fellow contestant Clare Balding.
Ross admitted on his podcast that he had inadvertently hinted to Balding that he was a Traitor, a scene that did not make the final edit. He said: 'I’d actually said something to her the night before which I think made her think it was me. And that wasn’t in the show because it didn’t lead to the roundtable.'
The BBC sent a reminder to cast members about contractual obligations after Ross discussed edited-out content. He noted: 'When I started talking about it last week, they sent us all a kind of list saying, just to remind you, these are the things in your contracts you’re not allowed to talk about.'
Despite the slip, Ross has remained undetected by other contestants. On the spin-off show Uncloaked, Stephen Fry expressed shock upon learning Ross was a Traitor, exclaiming: 'Jonathan?! FFS! He played a blinder.'
