Casualty Fans Fear Stevie Nash's Cancer May Have Returned After Worrying Scene

Casualty viewers were left concerned for Stevie Nash after a brief but alarming scene in Saturday's episode. The character, played by Elinor Lawless, was seen gripping a reception desk and appearing to be in pain, with the camera panning down to her stomach.

Fans took to social media to express their fears that Stevie may have lied about being given the all-clear from cancer. One viewer wrote on X: 'Stevie stopping, grabbing the side, the pan down to her stomach, her seeming out of breath and shaky… GOD, I'M SCARED. I really hope she didn't lie about getting the all clear.'

Another fan speculated: 'Maybe that's why we never got to see her go through chemo, etc, cause they are saving it for another cancer storyline.' A third added: 'Worried she's lied too.'

Last year, Stevie was diagnosed with stage two ovarian cancer and underwent a hysterectomy followed by chemotherapy. The recent scene has led fans to believe her health may be deteriorating again.

The BBC has confirmed that Casualty will not air next week but will return soon. Speaking previously about the cancer storyline, Lawless told What To Watch: 'Stevie has been battered by the fates. For the first time, she is really terrified - and she hates being afraid.'
