Party-loving Brits have turned a Ryanair plane's aisle into a dancefloor, creating what one passenger described as 'the best flight' during a journey from London Stansted to Malta. The festivities, captured on video, show a group of high-energy passengers cheering and dancing while clutching bottles of alcohol.
Mid-Air Club Atmosphere
The footage, taken by solo traveller TJ Wright, shows the group transforming the aircraft into a mid-air club. Wright, a 28-year-old manager of a solar panel firm from Thurrock, Essex, said she was left in stitches and enjoyed her holiday hours earlier as she travelled to a dance music festival.
Speaking about the experience, Wright said: 'Everyone was strangers on this flight and we all became one. I must say, as a solo traveller I had one of the best flights just due to everyone being ready to party.'
Bottle-Throwing Incident
The party took a turn when a passenger allegedly threw an empty bottle at one of the revellers. Wright explained: 'A passenger in front of me threw an empty bottle at one of the passengers sitting next to me, telling him to be quiet. I nicely asked the passenger to apologise and to not be so rude, and all of the passengers just broke out with cheers.'
The cabin crew reportedly enjoyed the party until the seatbelt light came on, requiring everyone to be seated. The woman who threw the bottle was told to sit down or be moved.
Viral Sensation
The clip, from the flight to the Higher Love Festival on April 30, quickly went viral online, racking up 235,000 views. Despite the rowdy behaviour, many passengers, including a mother with a baby, were entertained by the dancing.
Wright added: 'I travel to Malta at least three times a year and I must say as a solo traveller I had one of the best flights just due to everyone being ready to party. You can see in the video even the women with her young baby are smiling and laughing.'
The Daily Mirror has approached Ryanair for comment.
