Party-loving Brits have turned a Ryanair plane's aisle into a dancefloor, creating what one passenger called 'the best flight.' The mid-air party broke out on a flight from London Stansted to Malta, with a group of high-energy passengers cheering, dancing, and clutching bottles of booze.
Viral Video Captures the Festivities
TJ Wright, a 28-year-old solo traveler from Thurrock, Essex, filmed the scene and shared it online. The video shows a group of rowdy Brits partying in the aisle as other passengers look on. Wright, a manager at a solar panel firm, was traveling to a dance music festival and said she got to start her holiday early.
'Everyone was strangers on this flight and we all became one. I must say, as a solo traveller I had one of the best flights just due to everyone being ready to party,' she said. 'All of the passengers just broke out with cheers, music and a party.'
Incident with a Bottle
According to Wright, the party turned tense when a passenger in front of her threw an empty bottle at one of the revelers, allegedly annoyed by the noise. 'I nicely asked the passenger to apologise and to not be so rude and all of the passengers just broke out with cheers,' she said. The cabin crew initially enjoyed the festivities until the seatbelt light came on, and everyone had to sit down. The woman who threw the bottle was told to be seated or she would be moved.
Positive Reactions from Fellow Passengers
Despite the rowdy behavior, many passengers were entertained. Wright noted that even a mother with a baby was smiling and laughing. The clip went viral, racking up 235,000 views on social media. The flight was heading to the Higher Love Festival on April 30.
Wright, who travels to Malta at least three times a year, said it was one of her best flights. The Daily Mirror has approached Ryanair for comment.
