Britain's Favourite Rom-Coms Revealed in BBC Vote

The BBC has launched a search for Britain's ultimate romantic comedy, inviting listeners to vote from a shortlist of 40 films. The poll, curated by Radio 2 film critic James King, spans big hits, fan favourites, and international releases, all featuring love stories and humour.

The results will be unveiled in a special countdown programme hosted by King, available on BBC Sounds and BBC Radio 2 ahead of Valentine's Day. Listeners can also share what makes their favourite rom-com special by emailing romcom@bbc.co.uk.

The shortlist includes films from various eras and countries, offering a wide selection for voters. King encourages participation, saying, 'Whether you're single or coupled up, everyone loves a good light-hearted love story around Valentine's Day.'
