Bridie Carter, best known for her role as Tess Silverman McLeod in the drama series McLeod's Daughters, is set to return to television with a role on Channel Seven's Home and Away.
The 49-year-old actress announced the news on Instagram on Tuesday, posting a selfie with the caption: 'Very grateful in these strange times to be invited into the family fold.' She added that after filming, she sought solace in a city park, noting, 'not being on the farm, I need that!'
Carter will play real estate agent Susie McCallister. Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, she said accepting the role amid the coronavirus pandemic was a 'no-brainer', calling it 'miraculous' that she received the offer while the industry was struggling.
