ITV has announced a new spin-off of its popular quiz show 'The Chase', titled 'The Chase Around the World', with Bradley Walsh returning as host. The series, set to premiere later this year, will combine general knowledge questions with a global travel adventure.
In the show, six pairs of contestants will travel the world to locate all six Chasers, who are hidden in secret locations. The pairs must use their intellect, observation, and puzzle-solving skills to find them, while also visiting landmarks and culturally significant sites along the way.
Contestants will solve riddles and puzzles to uncover clues leading to the Chasers. The last pair to arrive at each destination must face a Chaser in a quiz showdown to stay in the competition. Success means advancing to the next location; failure results in elimination.
The final destination offers a life-changing prize, with a high-stakes general knowledge face-off between the remaining contestants and the Chasers. Bradley Walsh expressed excitement about the format, saying it will test contestants' knowledge like never before.
ITV executives Sue Murphy and Kate Teckman described the show as a high-stakes battle of knowledge in epic real-world locations, while Lily Wilson of Bright Entertainment called it a fitting global evolution of the beloved format.
