Big Brother runner-up Twinks has shared a dramatic transformation on social media, revealing that she wears artificial teeth because of a physical assault she suffered at 15. The ITV star, who finished second in this year's series, posted the unexpected reveal on TikTok days after the chaotic finale.
Finale Fallout and Fan Reaction
The show ended earlier this week with 57-year-old Rochelle named the winner. The controversial housemate was visibly stunned on hearing the result, later telling hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu: "All the suffering was worth it."
Twinks, a late arrival to the house, came second with just 1% separating the top two finalists. As she was interviewed after leaving, the crowd chanted "Recount" and "You should have won."
In the fallout from the explosive Reunion episode, Twinks began posting messages to fans. One of her first TikTok posts showed her jumping on what appears to be a hotel bed with the caption: "Hey Divas. . . I'm baaaaack! So where's the party at?"
The Teeth Reveal
That was followed by a post captioned: "You ready for a plot twist and a reveal or what." Speaking to the camera, Twinks said: "OK, there's been some questions and I realise that unless you know me personally and in real life then this might come as a surprise to you."
She then took out some artificial teeth, leaving a large gap. Twinks explained: "I've gone backward and forwards about whether I tell you about this. Before you ask, 'Is it Turkey teeth?' It's not.
"It's trauma. It's always trauma. And - trigger warning - when I was 15 years old, I was physically assaulted and - now this. So, every so often the glue that keeps them locked in stops working and they fall out, which happened yesterday. Hence the cryptic code that my friends know as 'my teeth fell out,' and then the jokes ensue."
Support From Fans
The post was quickly flooded with support from fans who praised it as 'brave' and called Twinks a 'role model' for others with similar experiences.
One person commented: "Omg, this makes me love you so much more. I lost most of my teeth before I was 30 and I also wear dentures. It's a really scary thing to go through, especially as a young woman. I thought this was really brave, and I know how vulnerable it can make you feel."
Another agreed: "When I thought I couldn't love this woman any more after Big Brother, I see this. Always be my winner."
