Big Brother fans have uncovered that one of the new housemates, George Gilbert, has a secret acting past, including a role in the Downton Abbey movie. The revelation came shortly after the four new housemates entered the house on Tuesday night.
George, who is a parish councillor, has an IMDb page listing roles in Sneakerheads and The Stand Up Sketch Show, as well as ad campaigns for Adidas and Eurovision. Fans on Reddit shared screenshots of his acting profile, questioning why he had not mentioned his background in the house.
One Reddit user wrote: 'He is an actor, which is very strange of him not to mention. He is also a movie extra and model. The fact that he isn't bringing this up is quite surprising, especially since calling himself a thespian is the first thing you see on his Instagram page.'
Some viewers speculated that ITV may have deliberately cast actors but asked them not to disclose it. Others suggested that George might have mentioned his acting but the footage was edited out. George has been open about his views on immigration on the show, but has not discussed his acting career.
Meanwhile, fellow housemate Elsa Rae is already known online and used to date influencer Ed Matthews. However, she has been open about her social media presence, telling housemates she just 'fell into' the career path.
