Big Brother fans have criticised what they call a 'sloppy edit' after spotting multiple mistakes in a recent episode, including a scene that appears to show the same housemate twice. The errors came during the latest instalment on Tuesday, October 27, as the remaining contestants made their nominations ahead of a special double eviction on Friday night.
Omar appears twice in one shot
One viewer took to the Big Brother UK subreddit and pointed out a moment that just didn't look right. They said: "Wow, that’s a really sloppy edit, Big Brother." The person went on to explain: "Why edit it this way when Caitrin goes to nominate? There are two Omars!"
As Caitrin left the sofas on her way to the Diary Room to make her nominations, Omar could be seen at the back, closest to the TV screen, with Rhianna cuddled up close to him. However, Omar could also be seen sitting on the sofa directly opposite, on his own, with his elbow resting on a side table, and Lynx, the closest, sat next to him.
More errors spotted
One person replied to the original post: "Was this actually shown??" Another commented: "I don’t understand why they would need to edit a person’s positioning in that shot anyway? Why not just show it as it is? Bizarre."
The mistake was further highlighted when the cut immediately afterward showed Omar sitting on his own without Rhianna, as he said to Lynx: "Hopefully my mum stopped watching after week one." Rhianna was then shown straight away, also on the sofas, but nowhere near Omar.
It wasn't the only error viewers were quick to point out. Just seconds into the episode, as fans were given a glimpse of what was to come, one scene showed the results of the nominations before they were even announced. As Frankie talked to someone on the sofa, the pictures of housemates could be seen on the screen behind, and it was clear that each person who had been nominated had a mark on their image.
Nominations revealed
With more than one star at risk of being forced to leave, only two nominations proved to be enough for more than one housemate to be put at risk. In the end, Rochelle, Rhianna, Philip, Samuel, and Twinks were all put up to face the public vote.
Rochelle received the most nominations, with eight, while Rhianna and Samuel received three each. Philip and Twinks each received only two but are still vulnerable. Someone shared an image of the earlier error on social media and simply captioned it: "Oops". Someone replied: "What a mistake to make."
