Big Brother Axes Shopping Budget In Brutal Twist

Big Brother has kicked off its 25th anniversary series with a brutal twist, as three housemates face eviction on the very first night. Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best revealed that viewers had just four minutes to vote for who they wanted to put up for eviction, with the three least popular housemates being placed in a separate room.

Emily, a 25-year-old political events organiser, Zumba instructor Sam, 22, and PR worker Caroline, 56, were named as the nominees. However, in a cruel twist, it was later announced on spin-off show Big Brother: Late and Live that the trio would have to decide amongst themselves who will be evicted.

Many viewers believed host Will Best accidentally let the twist slip during the live broadcast. Taking to social media, one fan wrote: 'Will seems to have just (accidentally?) confirmed on #BBLL that Emily, Caroline and Sam will have to decide amongst themselves WHO gets evicted tonight!'

The live feed, which returned for the anniversary series, also frustrated fans due to the use of bird sounds instead of showing the housemates. Viewers complained on X, formerly Twitter, with one saying: 'Once again the #BBUK 'live feed' is endless bird tweets... WTF is the point of offering a live feed when @bbuk is terrified that fans will leak what we've seen!!!'

Big Brother continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
