Britain's Got Talent judges and hosts were left stunned during auditions when a pickpocket contestant managed to steal their belongings without them noticing. The incident occurred on Saturday's show, featuring a performer described as a 'modern-day Artful Dodger'.
The contestant targeted the panel, including KSI, who was visibly rattled when he realised his pockets had been picked. Hosts Ant and Dec also fell victim, losing their smartphones and hotel key cards while filming.
After the act, the thief revealed his identity and returned the stolen items one by one, including wristwatches he had secretly placed in people's pockets. Amanda Holden commented, 'Oh my gosh, I think you’re a modern-day Artful Dodger.'
The contestant, who works as a pickpocket for hire and served as a Pickpocket Consultant on Guy Ritchie's Young Sherlock, will learn if he advances to the live semi-finals. The auditions conclude this weekend before the competition moves to the next stage.
