Netflix's latest thriller series, His & Hers, has shot to number one on the streaming platform since its release on January 8. The six-part adaptation of Alice Feeney's 2020 novel stars Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson as estranged spouses who each suspect the other of a murder in a small Georgia town.

The show has garnered critical acclaim, with Digital Spy calling it the 'most diabolical twist in years' and IGN awarding it a 9/10 rating for keeping viewers 'hooked from beginning to end'. Variety described it as 'one of the most unhinged shows ever seen on television' with a 'jaw-dropping, layered ending'.

Viewers have also praised the series on social media and review platforms. One IMDB user wrote: 'This show takes you on a ride where you constantly think you've cracked the case. Two scenes later you're completely lost again.' Another on X added: 'The way I thought the plot twist was obvious…only for the real reveal to happen, something I never saw coming.'

The success of His & Hers follows another Netflix thriller, Run Away, based on Harlan Coben's novel, which has also climbed the rankings. That series stars James Nesbitt and Minnie Driver as parents searching for their missing daughter, with a 76% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
