Bergerac Season 2 Cast: Where You've Seen Them

Filming has wrapped on the second season of the rebooted detective drama Bergerac, and U&DRAMA has released first-look images showing Damien Molony back as Jim Bergerac in Jersey. The new season introduces several British acting favourites, including Adrian Edmondson, Lesley Sharp, and Camilla Beeput, alongside returning stars Zoë Wanamaker, Robert Gilbert, and Chloé Sweetlove. Turlough Convery also joins the cast.

Adrian Edmondson is best known for his roles in The Young Ones, Bottom, and more recently The Crown. Lesley Sharp has appeared in Scott & Bailey and After Life. Camilla Beeput has been in Silent Witness and Doctor Who. Zoë Wanamaker, who plays Charlie Hungerford, is a veteran of stage and screen, known for Harry Potter and My Family. Robert Gilbert and Chloé Sweetlove reprise their roles from season one.

The synopsis for season two reveals that Jim Bergerac is starting to put his life back together, with his mother-in-law Charlie having a new man. Jim tentatively dates with encouragement from Kim (Sweetlove), and meets Nicola (Beeput), a visitor to Jersey. However, before their relationship blossoms, Jim is drawn into a case where a groom is murdered at his wedding reception. Jim must decipher the victim's cryptic last words from his speech to find the killer, uncovering old secrets in his most intricate case yet.

The reboot, created by Toby Whithouse, reimagines the iconic 1980s detective drama. Damien Molony has said his version of the character is darker than John Nettles' original. The first season aired on U&DRAMA and is available on U.
