Beat The Chasers Contestant Wins £60,000 After Chasers Dismissed His Chances

A contestant on ITV's Beat The Chasers has won a staggering £60,000 after taking on all five Chasers, despite them claiming he had 'no chance'. Gary Hudson, a former TV reporter, decided to go for the highest amount on the table, meaning he faced the full team of quizzers with a 60-second head start against their 45 seconds.

Host Bradley Walsh asked the Chasers if any thought Gary could beat them, with Shaun Wallace shouting 'No chance' and Mark Labbett mocking his shirt, saying 'The shirt tells us all we need to know'. However, Gary remained confident, replying: 'They don't know me as well as I know them though!'

Gary stormed to victory with seven seconds still on his clock, prompting Bradley to shout 'Absolutely brilliant' as golden confetti fell and the audience cheered. The Chasers applauded Gary, with Mark admitting: 'I hold my hand up and say I got suckered by the shirt. Well played, Sir.'

Gary plans to use the winnings to see Bruce Springsteen perform around the world, as he is a huge fan of the singer.
