BBC presenter Laura Kuenssberg has announced that Victoria Derbyshire will step in to host her Sunday morning political programme during the half-term break. The change was revealed at the end of the February 8 edition, where Kuenssberg interviewed work and pensions secretary Pat McFadden, shadow chancellor Alex Burghart, and Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth.
Kuenssberg told viewers: 'Victoria [Derbyshire] is here next week. But I'll be here later with Paddy O'Connell for Sunday's Newscast. I look forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks – a week on Sunday. Same time, same place.' Derbyshire, who fronts BBC Newsnight, will host the February 15 edition, with Kuenssberg returning on February 22.
The presenter change is part of a series of scheduling adjustments at the BBC this month. Morning Live has moved to BBC Two to accommodate Winter Olympics coverage, while Gladiators episodes on February 14 and 21 will air later than usual due to football broadcasts.
Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 9am on Sundays.
