Two drug dealers from the NSW Central Coast are facing life imprisonment after being caught with nearly a kilogram of ice in a police operation that involved a helicopter. Dylan Shaw and Jackson Stone, who used the encrypted app Wickr under the names 'Tony Rhino' and 'teflonjohn55', will be sentenced next month at Downing Centre District Court for supplying a large commercial quantity of methamphetamine.
The pair were arrested on May 9, 2023, after police received a triple-O call reporting gunshots at a property in Fairfield West, western Sydney. The Air Wing helicopter captured Shaw and Stone running from the house and later attempting to dispose of an item. Officers found 912 grams of ice in a Woolworths bag inside a locked box in Stone's ute.
Shaw, whose former girlfriend once boasted they kept the 'whole Central Coast' supplied with human growth hormones, was on parole for a previous drug deal at the time of the arrest. He had been released from jail in December 2022 after serving time for dealing ice, MDMA and the hallucinogen 2CB. Stone, a plasterer from Erina, had previously been jailed for supplying 170 grams of cocaine while under police surveillance and was paroled in April 2022.
Stone's girlfriend gave birth to their son while he was in custody, but a prison iPad he was using to watch the birth stopped working during labour. Despite 'significant hurdles', the Supreme Court granted Stone bail in August 2023, and Shaw is also on bail awaiting sentence. Both men are expected to be sentenced next month.
