Actress Anya Taylor-Joy has revealed that she secretly married her partner Malcolm McRae in New Orleans in 2022. The Queen's Gambit star shared the news on Instagram, describing the ceremony as a vampire-themed event held on April Fools' Day.
In her post, Taylor-Joy referred to herself as 'the vampire Lestat' and shared images of 'anatomically correct' heart-shaped cakes. The wedding dress was designed by Dior, and guests included model Cara Delevingne and photographer Sebastian Faena.
The couple had previously hosted a larger celebration in Venice last October, which led to speculation that they were married then. However, this is the first time they have confirmed the earlier date.
Taylor-Joy wrote: 'The magic of that day is ingrained in every cell of my being, forever. Happy second (first) anniversary my love… you're the coolest.' McRae also posted on social media, expressing his enduring love.
Since her breakthrough role in The Queen's Gambit, Taylor-Joy has starred in films such as Last Night in Soho, The Super Mario Bros Movie, and Dune: Part Two. She will next appear in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
