I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were forced to intervene during a Bushtucker trial on Tuesday night, as comedian Eddie Kadi struggled to contain his fear. The trial, named A-Scare-ium, saw Kadi submerged in a water tank filled with snakes and other creepy crawlies, leaving him screaming in terror.
Kadi, who admitted that the closest he has come to jungle life is a walk through Kew Gardens, was seen writhing around as he tried to locate keys to unlock stars. At one point, he exclaimed, 'Oh my god, I've lost the key!' prompting Ant and Dec to put their hands to their heads in disappointment. Dec then advised him to 'work on another one' to secure some stars.
The comedian's meltdown continued as a reptile jumped onto his shoulder, causing him to scream. Ant remarked, 'Right you've got to look for the chest with a turtle on it. Two minutes gone and now there's snakes in there. He can't catch a break.' Despite their help, Kadi struggled to gather enough stars for his campmates.
Kadi, who shares the camp with celebrities including Ruby Wax, Alex Scott, Martin Kemp, Kelly Brook, Shona McGarty, and rapper Aitch, revealed before entering the jungle that his eight-year-old daughter inspired him to take part. He said, 'Raising a daughter is a beautiful thing, and my daughter is very excited. It’s going to be a story for her every single day.'
His close friend and I'm A Celeb veteran Babatunde Alishe told The Sun that Kadi confessed to being scared of all the creatures, including frogs, snakes, and spiders. Alishe said, 'I’m going to be as surprised as everybody else about how he’s going to react to things. So I’m kind of looking forward to that.'
