Eurovision Song Contest UK hosts Rylan Clark and Angela Scanlon have let slip a huge detail about Delta Goodrem's performance for Australia in the upcoming semi-final. The Australian singer will be representing her country in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest semi-final.
Delta Goodrem's Staging Revealed
During Thursday's episode of This Morning Britain, presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley spoke with Rylan and Angela about the contest's progress. When asked whether Australia stood a genuine chance of victory, Angela teased: "It does feel like, in the rehearsal yesterday, there's definitely excitement about having somebody of that ilk on stage, and she didn't hold back."
Angela revealed that Delta's gown features "hundreds of thousands of Swarovski crystals" and took an "insane amount of hours to make." She added: "Can I say she emerges from a piano. There's a little bit of danger involved in the staging, which I think people are going to love. Yeah, it feels like people are lapping it up."
UK Representative Look Mum No Computer
The duo also praised the United Kingdom's representative, Look Mum No Computer, who performed in the semi-final on Thursday night. Rylan Clark commented: "Tonight, in the semi-final, you get to see our boy Sam, although we've got a guaranteed pass to the final as we're part of the big four. Tonight is his first proper performance on that stage after his rehearsal."
Rylan admitted he had deliberately avoided watching Sam's rehearsals until the day before. "My goodness, there is so much going on on that stage, I need an aspirin!" he exclaimed.
When pressed on whether the UK could win, Rylan responded: "Are we ever in with a chance Cat? Come on Cat. We have come this year with something completely different. I need to say this, I really mean this with the bottom of my heart, Sam is one of the most genuine, lovely men. He's such a great vibe. Our dances this year are just such a lovely lot of people."
Ten nations have already secured their places in Saturday's grand finale, with more acts still to perform. This Morning airs on ITV every weekday morning from 10am.
