Andy Murray and wife Kim's new life after retirement

Andy Murray and his wife Kim have been busy with a special project since his retirement from tennis over two years ago. The couple's Cromlix hotel, near Dunblane, will be the focus of a new Channel 4 docuseries, Our Scottish Hotel, set to air in December.

The three-part series will offer behind-the-scenes access to the couple and their team as they complete renovations, described as "the biggest financial gamble" Murray and Kim have taken since buying the hotel in 2013.

Renovation project and new docuseries

Kim Murray said: "The last couple of years have been really full of change at Cromlix with a huge building project and a totally new direction for fine dining and wellness, and I was really keen to document that as there were so many personal stories and interesting discoveries along the way."

She added: "Andy and I haven't worked on anything together before, so that was a fascinating process - and a learning curve! I've loved shaping this building and estate into what's now become a really thriving and much-loved Scottish business. I hope people enjoy watching the show and meeting the team behind the hotel."

Honour and golf ambitions

The couple also received a special honour when one of the hotel's restaurants, Cradle at Cromlix, was recognised in the Michelin Guide.

Away from the hotel, Murray has been pursuing his goal of becoming a scratch golfer, spending much of his time on the golf course. According to Declan Rice, his handicap is almost there.

Coaching and exhibition tennis

The former world No. 1 has also been involved in coaching, working with old rival Novak Djokovic before starting with Jack Draper earlier this year. They hope to continue that relationship when Draper returns from injury in 2027.

Murray recently told The Times that he had "no desire to hit tennis balls any more", having spent 25 years doing so. However, he headed to Mallorca to compete in the Rafa Nadal Academy Slam, an exhibition event marking 10 years of Nadal's tennis centre in Manacor. Murray's team, featuring Dominic Thiem, Marat Safin, and Fabio Fognini, lost to Nadal's team, which included Carlos Moya, David Ferrer, and Richard Gasquet.
