All Creatures Great and Small Season 7 Air Date and Plot

All Creatures Great and Small has been confirmed for two more series, with season 7 expected to air later this year. The beloved Channel 5 drama, based on James Herriot's books, will return for a seventh and eighth series, each comprising six one-hour episodes plus Christmas specials. Filming for season 7 is already underway, as confirmed by actor Samuel West in February.

The festive special, set in 1945, saw dramatic events including the return of Helen (Rachel Shenton) and Tristan Farnon (Callum Woodhouse) confessing his PTSD after fighting the Japanese. Meanwhile, Siegfried (Samuel West) dealt with on-off love interest Dorothy (Maimie McCoy), and a heart-wrenching death occurred. Despite lingering shadows of war, there was joy across Yorkshire.

While plot details for season 7 remain under wraps, Greg Barnett, Commissioning Editor at Channel 5, teased: 'There are many new stories still to tell and more unforgettable adventures ahead.' The cast is expected to return, including Samuel West, Callum Woodhouse, and Nicholas Ralph, though full details are yet to be confirmed.

Season 7 could land this autumn, following the pattern of previous series debuting in September or October. The show remains Channel 5's most successful drama, and fans can look forward to more warmth, humour, and heart set against the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.
