Alison Hammond has confirmed she will not be appearing on the second series of Celebrity Traitors, citing a scheduling conflict with her role on The Great British Bake Off. The This Morning star was a popular choice among fans hoping to see her in the BBC reality show, which returns this autumn.
Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, Hammond explained: "I can’t do it because I’m doing Bake Off. I think it’s the same time when I’m doing Bake Off, so that’s a definite no." She added that she would have loved to take part, but as a faithful rather than a traitor, saying: "I don’t want no stress."
The first series of Celebrity Traitors, which aired in 2025, was a major hit, drawing an average audience of 14.9 million viewers. The final saw comedian Alan Carr win £87,500 for Neuroblastoma UK after remaining undetected as a traitor.
Meanwhile, The Great British Bake Off is set for a change this year, with Dame Prue Leith leaving the judging panel. She will be replaced by TV chef Nigella Lawson, who will join Paul Hollywood. Hammond expressed mixed feelings about Leith's departure, saying: "It’s kind of bittersweet. We love Prue... but we also want her to go and enjoy life."
