Aldi's 2026 Christmas advert is here, and this year's storyline follows the supermarket's beloved animated character, Kevin the Carrot, and his daughter Chantenay on a snowy search for their four-legged friend, Cauli Dog.
In the advert, festive celebrations are put on hold for Kevin and his family when they realise their beloved Cauli Dog has gone missing. The advert went live across social media and YouTube at 8am this morning, ahead of its UK TV debut at 8pm this evening.
A Tender Opening and a Trail of Paw Prints
The Christmas advert opens on a tender note as Chantenay, Kevin's daughter, wishes for the safe return of the family's beloved floret friend, Cauli Dog.
Kevin and Chantenay put up 'LOST' posters and soon discover a trail of tiny paw prints, leading them into the snow-dusted wilderness to continue their search.
Unexpected Encounters Along the Way
Along the way, a well-meaning scarecrow's questionable directions send them briefly off course and bring them face-to-face with what appears to be a grizzly bear, only for it to be revealed as a cuddly squirrel.
Kevin also takes a tumble during the adventure, adding one of the funny moments fans have come to expect from the popular carrot's festive escapades.
A Heartwarming Finale
The paw prints eventually lead them back home, where the Carrot clan searches high and low before hearing soft snoring coming from inside a Christmas cracker.
In a heartwarming finale, Chantenay's Christmas wish comes true. Cauli Dog is found safe and sound, with Chantenay declaring: "Cauli, I love you."
Other festive campaigns that recently aired include the John Lewis 2026 Christmas advert. The 20th edition of the famous festive ad features Slow Horses star Dame Kristin Scott Thomas as grandmother Gloria, who is trying to find the perfect gift for her grandchildren.
Gloria, with the help of Pickles the dog, a vintage Little Snoopy Pull Along Toy voiced by comedian Paul Whitehouse, decides against giving out envelopes of cash. She and Pickles then head to a John Lewis branch. As the family arrives on Christmas Day, Gloria presents her grandchildren with a key to a room that has been transformed into a 'Gran Cave' - complete with sparkling lights, disco balls and a record player.
The children, Freddie (played by EastEnders actor Jahsaiah Williams) and sister Maggie, give their grandmother a huge hug before the advert ends with them dancing in the makeshift den together.
