Adam Thomas Faces Dreaded Eating Trial in I'm A Celebrity Final Amid David Haye Feud
Adam Thomas Faces Eating Trial in I'm A Celebrity Final

I'm A Celebrity star Adam Thomas faces his biggest fear in his final trial, after camp rival David Haye previously claimed he had faked sickness. Adam, 37, is one of the last four campmates in the ITV show's All Stars spin-off, alongside Sir Mo Farah, Craig Charles, and Harry Redknapp.

Although the show was primarily pre-recorded in South Africa last September, a live UK-set final airing tonight (April 24) will crown the winner. In tonight's episode, the final four each tackle a trial to win a course for their final meal together as a group. Each trial has five stars available, with winning four meaning everyone gets each dinner course and securing five earns them an extra treat.

Waterloo Road star Adam is playing to win desserts but has a tough challenge ahead of him. He is facing a dreaded eating trial, with this particular disgusting challenge titled Swallow the Odds. Adam must face five rounds of unappetising dishes, but how will he fare when served up his biggest fear?

It comes after former campmate David Haye accused Adam of 'playing the victim' in a fiery This Morning interview on Thursday, after facing claims he 'bullied' the actor during their stint on I'm A Celebrity South Africa. The boxer, 45, and the Waterloo Road star, 37, had a fractious relationship during their time together in the South African jungle, which was filmed in September last year.

David has since been accused of 'bullying' after a series of swipes towards Adam were aired. In one instance, David branded the actor 'useless' for excusing himself from a trial due to his health. In an appearance on the ITV daytime show, David defended his comments to Adam as 'banter'. He accused the Emmerdale star of trying to gain more sympathy by describing his ordeal as 'the worst time of his life.'

The sportsman insisted he and Adam had been on good terms after the show, and he had spoken to him just a day before the interview. David said: 'Some people had the worst time of their life, Adam for instance, he said that was the worst of his life, I don't know how soft his life has been! I got on with everybody, even Adam. I've been chatting to him since, but this whole, the bullying thing, he fanned the flames, I think the angle is to play the victim card, even in the trials.'

Former Emmerdale actor Adam has autoimmune condition psoriatic arthritis and struggled with fatigue and dehydration in the jungle. The star, who originally appeared on I'm A Celeb in 2016, is playing to win desserts for his fellow campmates. Thursday's episode saw Scarlett Moffatt eliminated in fifth place, leaving Adam, Craig Charles, Sir Mo Farah, and Harry Redknapp as the final four.

However, David claimed he 'played a sickness' whenever a trial was due to take place, adding: 'It flares up in convenient times as well and that's what I'm saying. He's a super sweet guy, but I think he hams up, he's a professional victim.' He added: 'I sat next to him on the plane for 10 hours and actually explained to him what banter is, when I was beating him. Even Harry, who has been around footballers his whole life, he gets banter. I think he's just too soft, he can give it but he can't take it plain and simple. If you watch it, and you see the context, if you see the whole time, we were all giving each other banter. It is a TV show, they edit it how they want to edit it to get the most engaging show.'

I'm A Celebrity South Africa airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
