In a recent episode of 22 Kids and Counting, Chloe Radford broke down in tears after discovering her brother Luke was considering leaving the family bakery. The siblings had previously fallen out over work, leading to a year-long silence between them.

Luke, now in his third year at the factory, expressed his desire to avoid another rift. He said, 'Working with your family, it’s special,' but decided to look for work elsewhere to protect their relationship. He planned to keep his job search secret until he had a new position lined up.

However, the secret was revealed when Chloe answered a phone call intended for their father, Noel. The caller was following up on a CV from Luke. Shocked, Chloe said, 'I’m a little bit taken aback. I don’t really get it, I thought he was quite happy here.'

Emotional, Chloe added, 'I’m not happy about my brother keeping secrets from me.' She later informed Noel, who called a family meeting. Luke explained that with Noel stepping back, taking direction from Chloe risked another fallout.

Chloe insisted they work well together and wanted him to stay. They agreed to keep work conflicts separate from family life. Luke said, 'After talking things through it’s given me so much confidence that we talk through any problem in work and still be friends outside of work.'

22 Kids and Counting continues Sundays on Channel 5 at 8pm.
