About The Mentalist
The Mentalist is an American procedural drama television series that originally ran from September 23, 2008, until February 18, 2015, with over seven seasons produced for CBS. The series centres on Patrick Jane, an independent consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation, based in Sacramento, California.
Although not an officer of the law, Jane uses skills from his previous career as a successful, yet admittedly fraudulent, psychic medium to assist CBI agents in solving murders. His motivation stems from a personal goal: to find the notorious serial killer known as Red John, who was responsible for the brutal murders of his wife, Angela Ruskin Jane, and his daughter, Charlotte Anne Jane.
Classed as both a crime drama and mystery thriller, all episodes of The Mentalist are now available on Netflix.
